[OPEN] Not able to register properly with regsvr()

Hello

Today I started evaluating ver 19. When i do regsvr() from run command system replies everything ok , but the program crashes when accessing the control.

We use Visual Objects 2.8 and don't have problems with lots of other controls.
If we setup the control properly with your installer, everything works ok - but of course this is no solution for our customers...

Are we missing something??

Hi

I've just downloaded and installed the Trial Version of the .net server and tried to run some basic code, but got an "The following control could not be licensed: TXTextControl.ServerTextControl" exception.

I have added references to the following in the GAC:
TXDocumentServer
TXDocumentServer.WPF
TXTextControl
TXTextControl.Server
TXTextConstrol.WPF

It is a simple ASP.Net 4.0 Web Form App.

Is there something else that I should be doing to sort out the licencing issue?

[OPEN] Replace textual placeholders with mergefields

Hi,

I have a complex document that changes quiete often. We prepared to have the document to have textual placeholders (like <P001> up to <P280>). We would like to process the document and programmaticaly change each occurence of <Pxxx> placeholders to mergefields (in order to do mail merging after this). What would be the right way to achieve this?

Open word document
regex search for all <P[0-9][0-9][0-9]> occurences <-- how ?
replace each match with merge field <-- how ?

Hi,

the follwing link Creating templates using TX Text Control Words provides the facility to create mail merge templates when using the winforms control. You are able to connect to a database, select the appropriate tables and get the fields prepared to be inserted into the document. Actually I am missing this feature from the WPF version. I am only able to connect to a flat xml file, but never to other database sources. Any chance to have this in the WPF version? Anyway to use the Winforms version with the same license in the meantime.

[OPEN] Using both .NET and ActiveX in same app

Can I have both a TX ActiveX and TX .NET control in the same application?

I have an C++ MFC app that uses TX ActiveX 15.1. I am trying to add a C# UserControl with TX .NET 15.1. When I try to run the app it blows up.

I created a simple C++ MFC test app and added my C# UserControl and the app runs. I then added a TX Active X to the dialog and the app blows up. The error message for my real app and my test app are the same and are shown below.

It appears that the .NET and ActiveX cannot be used simultaneously in the same app. Is there anyway around this?

[OPEN] Selecting cell text issue in version 19.0

I updated to version 19 and I started having a strange issue. Using the following code in VB6 I have a table with text in a cell. I just want to grab the text and write it to a database. This has always worked perfectly up to now. The issue now is that it randomly also selects the table cell itself. So when I open up my worksheet, it adds rows and just plain screws up the worksheet. This is because all that should be selected is the text, no cell borders, etc. with the selection.


TXTextControl1.SelStart = TXTextControl1.TableCellStart(19, 3, 3) - 1
TXTextControl1.SelLength = TXTextControl1.TableCellLength(19, 3, 3)

strDistract3_Comments = TXTextControl1.RTFSelText

I created a dialog with rich text boxes that show what is selected using the above code for 8 different cells. You can see it also selects the cell in some cases. This happens randomly.

I need to add hyperlinks programmatically in C# but when I try to execute this code an exception occurs because HypertextLinks property is null.

TXTextControl. TextControl control = new TXTextControl. TextControl();

control.HypertextLinks.Add(NewLink);

Any idea?

Hi, we at our company have developed from many years a IE solution based on text Control V11 with vbscript.

At V11 we can save the contents of Header, Footer and MainText seperately.
We do like this:
objTX.HeaderFooterSelect 2
header = objTX.SaveToMemoryBuffer(header,5, true)
objTX.HeaderFooterSelect 4
Footer = objTX.SaveToMemoryBuffer(Footer,5,True)
objTX.HeaderFooterSelect 1
Header2 = objTX.SaveToMemoryBuffer(Header2,5,True)
objTX.HeaderFooterSelect 0
Text = objTX.SaveToMemoryBuffer(Text,5, true)
and at the end we save all this to database.

Now on V19 we cannot save the parts, because it always save the whole document, even if we select all of the main text with selStart/selLength
We've added objTX.HeaderFooterActivate before and after each header/footer, but with no luck.

How can we continue to save the parts of the document seperately?

Hi,

I have a TX19 .NET for Windows Forms, we are using TXTextcontrols in ViewMode SimpleControl.
As you can see in the attached file we're having a document with a table and an image.

I'm saving a Bytearray with InternalUnicodeFormat
The Bytearray seems ok (ls2.BytesRead = 35540), but Loading it I get no Bytes (SimpleControl) or a weird formatting (PageView) and the image is gone.

To test this behaviour, you can add the code above in the sample code of TXWords (19) (FileHandler.FileOpen before the Catch-Block) and use it with the attached document.
Loading in WordFormat works, but we want to use TXFields in the document without converting them into Word-Fields.

It is necessary to save and reload the document in our environment to reset the contents of the control because of a bigger table layout structure with several controls in it.
